Dining in Jerusalem

We went to a local restaurant near the Old City recently and I thought I would share some pictures....

They had VERY loud, live music.

Joni sampling the fresh mint lemonade.

"Sour!" :)

The kids had a love/hate relationship with the volume of the music. Joni would go back and forth between dancing and being annoyed.

It was a lively restaurant, to say the least. The restaurant supplied big, ornate, Middle Eastern bongs for people to smoke. Appetizers consisted of baskets of pita along with a variety of what they call "salads" to dip them in. It was all so different and so good. There was lots of dancing, lots of clapping, and lots of food. The part of the floor that we were seated on was sand and rocks, so Jackson quickly discovered he could make a huge mess - but it sure kept him busy! There were also live grapevines growing all through the ceiling and walls. Joni thought that was amazing. :)

That looks so cool! But yeah I think the music would've been annoying after a while...

That sounds like quite the adventure. I think it may drive me crazy with all that action, but it sounds fun.

Hey Baldee,
Just saw you left a message on mine. I am still alive, I suck at the blog thing, but I'm still around. I'm back at work so I have a little more computer time than usual. It was so good to hear from you. I've been meaning to send you an e-mail for a while now. Believe it or not, I am busy. Between home, work, church and ball games I'm still a pretty busy gal. Good thing I only have to work another month. I read your blog often and am glad to have a peek at your life!

I love your adventures. They look like so much. It looks like the kids had fun at the Mediterranean Sea too.
